Most of my clients are between 16 and 35 — an age range that sits at the intersection of some of life’s biggest pressure points. You’re figuring out who you are, what you want, and how to handle the gap between where you are and where you think you should be. That’s a lot to carry, and most people are trying to carry it alone.
I also work with adults well beyond that range. My clients tend to be self-aware, motivated, and done with just getting by. If that’s you, you’re in the right place.
I see clients in person at my Dallas office and virtually for anyone in Texas. I’m currently accepting new clients with no waitlist.
You’ve probably heard of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Here’s what it means in practice, without the textbook language.
Your brain builds patterns. When something stressful happens — a conversation, a relationship, a decision — your mind runs it through those patterns automatically. Sometimes that’s helpful. A lot of the time, it’s not. The pattern tells you you’re not good enough, or that something bad is coming, or that you need to do more to be liked. You believe it, you feel it, and you act on it — even when none of it is true.
CBT is the process of catching those patterns, examining them, and replacing them with something more useful. It’s not about thinking positively. It’s about thinking accurately.
What makes this different from just talking things through is that we’re always building toward something. You’ll leave sessions with tools — actual things to do and try — not just new ways of understanding your problems. Over time, you start to notice the patterns faster. The spirals get shorter. The decisions get clearer.
IN PERSON & VIRTUAL
I see clients in person at my office in the Highland Park/Uptown area of Dallas two days a week. Virtual sessions are available for anyone in Texas, Monday-Friday — same structure, same quality of care, from wherever you are.
A lot of clients mix both, depending on their schedule. There's no requirement to pick one or the other.
I also offer professional consultation for social workers at any stage of their career — whether you're exploring the field, developing your clinical identity, or preparing to launch a private practice. Sessions are tailored to where you are and where you want to go.
